Privacy Policy

e-Nirikshak is an unofficial prototype built for Smart India Hackathon 2026. It holds no real procurement records and no personal data of real bidders — every account, tender and document in it is demonstration data. The policy below describes how a deployed system would handle such data.

For registered users: name, official email address, role and the organization on whose behalf they act. For bidders: the documents submitted against a tender, together with the registration identifiers stated in them.

Every action taken on the platform is recorded in an audit log with the actor, the action, the time and the originating IP address. This record exists so that a procurement decision can be accounted for afterwards, and it cannot be edited or deleted by any user.

• Submitted documents are encrypted at rest with a key held for that tender alone. The key is released only when the tender closes, so no officer of the procuring entity can read any bundle before that moment.
• A bidder's documents are visible, after close, only to the procuring entity that published the tender and the compliance officer evaluating it. They are never visible to another bidder.
• Registration identifiers furnished in a bid may be verified against the Udyam, GST and MCA registries for the purpose of confirming a claim made in that bid.
• Administrators of the platform manage accounts and configuration and have no access to bid documents or evaluation outcomes.

Tender records, submissions and the associated audit trail are retained for the period prescribed for procurement records, because they are the evidence behind a public spending decision. A bidder may request a copy of their own submission record from the procuring entity named on the tender.
